Finding Paladin runes in WoW SoD is the first thing you should do when building your character. One of the key features that sets Season of Discovery apart from WoW is runes. Therefore, one of the main goals of the game is to collect runes and build your own character. WoW SoD Paladin Runes
In WoW SoD, there are currently 12 Paladin Runes. Below, you can see all the runes, their effects, and in which slot they are used.

Horn of Lordaeron | The Paladin blows the Horn of Lordaeron, which increases total Strength and Agility of all party members within 30 yards by 6. Lasts 2 min. Exclusive with Blessing of Might. | Chest |
Seal of Martyrdom | Fills you with holy spirit for 30 sec, causing each of your melee attacks to deal 30% weapon damage to your target, but you lose health equal to 10% of the damage inflicted. | Chest |
Beacon of Light | The target becomes a Beacon of Light to all members of your party or raid within a 40 yard radius. Any heals you cast on party or raid members will also heal the Beacon for 100% of the amount healed. Only one target can be the Beacon of Light at a time. Lasts 1 min. | Hands |
Crusader Strike | An instant strike that causes 75% weapon damage and regenerates 2% of your maximum mana. | Hands |
Hand of Reckoning | Taunts the target to attack you, but has no effect if the target is already attacking you. While you know this ability, the threat bonus from Righteous Fury is increased to 80% and Righteous Fury causes you to gain mana when healed by others equal to 25% of the amount healed. Additionally, while Righteous Fury is active, damage which takes you below 35% health is reduced by 20%. Righteous Fury will remain active until cancelled. | Hands |
Avenger’s Shield | Hurls a holy shield at the enemy, dealing (366 * / 100 + 0.091 * Spell power + 0.091 * Attack power) to (448 * / 100 + 0.091 * Spell power + 0.091 * Attack power) Holy damage, Dazing them and then jumping to additional nearby enemies. Divine Sacrifice | 30% of all damage taken by party members within 30 yards is redirected to the Paladin for 10 sec. Damage which reduces the Paladin below 20% health will break the effect and grant the paladin 10% increased damage and healing done for 10 sec. Divine Sacrifice cannot be used while you are under the effects of Blessing of Protection, Divine Shield, or Divine Protection, and prevents you from being targeted by those abilities while it is active. | Legs |

For Humans:
- Cast Cleanse Cleanse on Wounded Adventurer at Jasperload Mines.
For Dwarves:
- Cast Cleanse Cleanse on Wounded Adventurer in front of Gnomeregan.
- Non-human paladins can purify wounded adventurers at the spiders.
Divine Storm
For All Races:
- Visit the Tower of Althalaxx in Darkshore (group recommended).
- Click on the orb atop to get Althalaxx Orb Althalaxx Orb.
- Embark on a quest chain leading to Divine Storm.
Horn of Lordaeron
For Dwarves:
- Find Libram of Blessings Libram of Blessings in Stoutlager Inn, Thelsamar.
- Equip and give blessings to 5 players for Horn of Lordaeron Horn of Lordaeron.
For Humans:
- Find Libram of Blessings Libram of Blessings by killing undead mobs in Westfall.
- Equip and give blessings to 5 players for Horn of Lordaeron Horn of Lordaeron.
Seal of Martyrdom
For Humans:
- Speak to Brother Romulus in Stormwind Cathedral.
- Descend into the catacombs, find Charred Note Charred Note.
- Go to the island in northwest Duskwood.
- Speak to Ada Gelhardt, defeat her for Seal of Martyrdom Seal of Martyrdom.
Beacon of Light
For All Races:
- Purchase from Azeroth Commerce Authority faction once Honored.
Crusader Strike
For Humans:
- Obtain the quest Relics of the Light in Dun Morogh.
- Find and equip Libram of Judgement Libram of Judgement, then unleash seals for Crusader Strike Crusader Strike.
For Dwarves:
- Similar quest as humans, with Libram from Frostmane Trolls.
Hand of Reckoning
For Dwarves:
- Visit Stonesplinter Valley in Loch Modan.
- Find Sacred Reliquar, containing Libram of Justice Libram of Justice.
- Equip and kill 10 enemies stunned by Hammer of Justice Hammer of Justice.
For Humans:
- Go to Westfall near Jangolode Mine.
- Find and kill Leprithus for the rune.
Avenger’s Shield
For Dwarves, Humans:
- Kill Dro’zem the Blasphemous at the orc camp in Redridge Mountains.
Divine Sacrifice
- In Ratchet, Barrens, talk to Grizzby in the Inn.
- Collect materials for his quests and complete them for Divine Sacrifice Divine Sacrifice.
Exorcist
For Dwarves, Humans:
- Kill Worgen in Duskwood for Libram of Banishment Libram of Banishment.
- Equip, cast Turn Undead Turn Undead on 5 enemies, and slay them with Exorcism Exorcism.
Inspiration Exemplar
- Requires 2 players:
- For Humans: East of Jerod’s Landing, Elwynn Forest.
- For Dwarves: West of Kharanos, Dun Morogh.
- Click on Adventurer’s Remains to summon a portal and get Inspiration Exemplar Inspiration Exemplar.
Rebuke
For Humans:
- Speak to Liv Bradford at the Inn in Stormwind City.
- Kill Stuart in the Inn and return to Liv for Rebuke Rebuke.
For Dwarves:
- Speak to Bruuk Barleybeard in the Military Ward in Ironforge.
- Defeat the drunk mentioned by Bruuk for Rebuke Rebuke.
