Feebas is a very difficult Pokemon to find in any Pokemon game. It only spawns in a specific location in Teal Mask’s Kitakami region, but it’s a bit difficult to get there. In this guide, we told you where and how to find Feebas.
Where to Find Feebas
Feebas and its elegant evolution, Milotic, are highly sought-after Water-type Pokémon in the world of Pokémon Violet. Unlike previous generations, where finding Feebas was a daunting task, Pokémon trainers now have a clearer path to locating and capturing this elusive creature. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the steps to find Feebas and evolve it into the majestic Milotic.
How to get Feebas
Before embarking on your journey to capture Feebas, ensure that you have obtained Koraidon/Miraidon’s ability to swim. Additionally, it’s recommended to have a Pokémon capable of battling on or in the water with a type advantage over Water-types, such as Wattrel, an Electric/Flying-type Pokémon.
Feebas can be found swimming in Oni Mountain. Begin your search by flying to Crystal Pool and crossing the bridge to a slanted hill. At the back of this hill lies a cavern entrance leading inside Oni Mountain. Navigate through the cavern, defeating any trainers you encounter along the way.
Once inside, drop down into the first room and proceed to another drop. You’ll land in a body of water. Follow the stream until you reach a room inhabited by a Whiscash. Defeat the Whiscash to clear the area and maximize the chances of encountering Feebas.
To increase your chances further, consider consuming a meal with an Encounter Power: Water effect. Ingredients like Cucumbers and Curry Powder can enhance your encounter rate with Feebas.
Approach Feebas cautiously, as it will flee and dive underwater if you get too close. Use a Pokémon to initiate battle and avoid using Auto-Battle unless you’re specifically Shiny Hunting Feebas.
Evolving Feebas into Milotic
Once you’ve successfully captured Feebas, it’s time to evolve it into Milotic. There are two methods to achieve this evolution:
- Trade Evolution:
- Obtain a Prism Scale, either as a Kitakami Dex Reward for catching 140 Kitakami Pokémon or by locating one at the far east of Fellhorn Gorge.
- Ensure Feebas is holding the Prism Scale and initiate a trade with another player online.
- Alternatively, trade Feebas with a friend to retain your Trainer ID for the evolved Milotic.
- Using Pokémon HOME:
- Transfer Feebas from Pokémon Violet to Pokémon HOME.
- Transfer Feebas from Pokémon HOME to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl.
- In BD/SP, feed Feebas dry/blue poffins created by mixing four different types of “dry” berries at the Poffin House in Hearthome City.
- Max out Feebas’s Beauty stat by feeding it poffins and level it up once to evolve it into Milotic.
- Transfer Milotic back to Pokémon HOME and then back to Pokémon Violet.
Remember that Feebas’s nature influences the rate of its Beauty stat increase. Pokémon with a nature that favors “dry food” will level up quicker, while those that dislike it will level up slower.
With this guide, you’re well-equipped to embark on your journey to find Feebas and witness its transformation into the stunning Milotic in Pokémon Violet. Happy hunting, trainers!
