Unavailed Beginner Guide

Welcome to our Unavailed Beginner Guide. This guide will show you the game mechanics and help you progress in the game.

Main Objective

In Unavailed, your main objective is to increase Mia’s 3 primary stats (visible at the top right corner of the screen).

Official Guide

From top to bottom, these correspond to Mia’s:

  • Mood
  • Motivation
  • Loneliness

You must reach a certain threshold for these stats at certain points of the game (described in the Progression Requirements section of this guide).

When you hover over an activity, it will show the energy cost, hunger cost, and time cost along with any changes to Mia’s 3 primary stats. You must ensure that Mia’s energy bar and hunger bar don’t reach 0 or you will have to restart the current day.

Progression Requirements

In order to progress, you must meet certain requirements at certain points in the game:

End of Day 4:

  • Mood >= 15
  • Motivation >= 15
  • Loneliness >= 15

End of Day 9:

  • Mood >= 35
  • Motivation >= 35
  • Loneliness >= 35

End of Day 15:

  • Mood >= 55
  • Motivation >= 55
  • Loneliness >= 55

End of Day 21:

  • Motivation >= 75
  • Loneliness >= 75
  • Study 3 times.

End of Day 27:

  • Mood >= 95
  • Motivation >= 95
  • Loneliness >= 95
  • Attend an interview 3 times (must first complete the “Job Hunting” activity).
Official Guide

Mia’s 3 primary stats will change yellow when they meet these requirements.

Status Debuffs

There are 3 status debuffs that can affect Mia:

  • Overwhelmed
  • Cleanliness
  • Room Cleanliness

When afflicted with one or more of these debuffs, Mia will take a -1 penalty to her 3 primary stats when completing an activity. It’s important that you remove these debuffs as soon as possible.

Overwhelmed

You can tell that Mia is overwhelmed when there is red writing on the walls. To clear this debuff, have Mia perform the “Vent” activity.

Official Guide

Cleanliness

You can tell that Mia is dirty when there is flies in her room. To clear this debuff, have Mia perform the “Bathe” activity. This activity will unlock on Day 5.

Official Guide

Room Cleanliness

You can tell that Mia’s room is dirty when there is cobwebs and dirty dishes in her room. To clear this debuff, have Mia perform the “Clean Room” activity. This activity will unlock on Day 5.

Official Guide

Debuff Meters

The Vent, Bathe, and Clean Room activity icons have a meter associated with them. You can get an idea of when you’ll need to remove the debuffs by looking at the purple background on the activity icons. When it’s full (or near full) you will want to have Mia perform the activity.

Checkpoints

If you should fail to reach the requirements to progress or you energy/hunger meter reach 0, you will fail. You can simply select “Retry Day <insert_current_day>” from the Game Over screen to restart from the day you failed with boosted stats. This should ensure that you can continue progressing through the game even if you are struggling with the specifics discussed in this guide.
