Daphrona’s Codex Challenges
Daphrona is a non-playable character (NPC) in First Berserker Khazan. She is a scholar who explores the mysteries of the Netherworld and its powers. NPCs are important characters that players interact with during the game. They appear in different areas and serve special roles, such as providing services or giving quests.
When you unlock Daphrona’s Codex, it is helpful to check it often to find enemies with Bonus Training challenges. These challenges can only be completed once and give special rewards. However, keep in mind that Training Grounds battles do not count for Bonus Training. To complete these challenges, you must fight enemies in different locations.
Wild Boar
Defeat a Wild Boar While It’s Collapsed:
- To complete this , you need to bring down a Wild Boar and eliminate it while it’s in a collapsed state. The best method is:
- Wait for the Wild Boar to charge at you.
- Throw a javelin at it mid-charge to make it collapse.
- While it’s down, land the final blow to secure victory.
Best Location: There’s a Wild Boar right at the entrance of Phraugh Village, making it an ideal spot to complete this .
Wild Bear
Defeat a Wild Bear Without Using Recovery Consumables:
- For this , you must take down a Wild Bear without relying on healing items. Here’s how:
- Perfect your dodging and parrying skills to minimize damage.
- Use hit-and-run tactics to whittle down the bear’s health.
- Consider using ranged attacks to maintain distance.
Best Location: A Wild Bear can be found near the Cabin on the Cliff checkpoint at the beginning of Phraugh Village.
Double-Edged Butcher
Shatter a Double-Edged Butcher and Defeat It While It’s Staggered
- To accomplish this, follow these steps:
- Aim for the enemy’s head with a javelin to break its horns.
- Continue attacking until it enters a staggered state.
- Finish it off without using a brutal attack.
Best Location: You can find a Double-Edged Butcher near the Beneath the Forgotten Temple checkpoint in the Ember Ruins.
Lunatic Destroyer
Defeat a Lunatic Destroyer After Performing 30 Successful Brink Guards:
- Brink Guards (perfect parries) are key to this . To complete it:
- Engage the Lunatic Destroyer and focus on parrying its attacks.
- Successfully execute 30 Brink Guards before landing the final blow.
Best Location: A Lunatic Destroyer is located near the Phraugh Village Dock checkpoint. Clear out other enemies in the area for a smooth fight.
Masterless Guardian
Defeat a Masterless Guardian After Performing 3 Successful Counterattacks:
- Patience is required for this since counterattacks must be timed correctly.
- Wait for the enemy’s attack with the special symbol.
- Counterattack precisely three times.
- Deliver the finishing strike.
Best Location: There’s a Masterless Guardian in the Ember Ruins. Start from the Beneath the Forgotten Temple checkpoint and progress forward to locate it.
Renowned Warrior’s Shadow
Defeat a Renowned Warrior’s Shadow Without Taking Damage:
- This seems simple, but some players report issues completing it. If you face difficulties:
- Restart the game and try again.
- Avoid using brutal attacks.
- Maintain a defensive strategy and time your attacks carefully.
Best Location: You can find a Renowned Warrior’s Shadow near the Forgotten Temple Entrance checkpoint in Ember Ruins. Turn around, go downhill, and take a left.
Undead Assassin
Use a Coward’s Lantern to Find and Defeat an Undead Assassin. To complete this :
- Begin the Jar Bonus Mission.
- Purchase the Coward’s Lantern from the Jar Head vendor for 50,000.
- Equip and activate the lantern (don’t forget to turn it on!).
- Progress through the mission and defeat the revealed enemies.
