Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 AOG-G Method

Hello from our Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 AOG-G Method guide. This guide will show you a method for quickly grinding those money achievements using the AOG-Gosiabelle.

Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 AOG-G Method

Welcome to our Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 AOG-G Method guide. What it says on the tin. I can’t promise this is the fastest method, but considering how finicky this game can be, it’s a small amount of work for a net gain of $4,200 (plus change if you sort and sell whatever’s left on your truck after your claim the jobs).

You need the $1,500 required to purchase the AOG-G to keep this loop going, so pay attention to your cash if you’re still buying upgrades.

There are three main stages to this strategy. I present this process in the order that makes the most logical sense to me, but you can do them in any order.

The AOG-G also has three major areas, which I will refer to as follows:

  • Deck = the lines of pipes on top of the ship and the sort-of-catwalk on top of them.
  • Midship = three floors open to ocean side of the wreak because the AOG-G doesn’t have a tapered stern section; both the second and third floor have a catwalk running down the center.
  • Bow = the front of the ship, which is open to the side because one of the winch-able side hull panels is gone along with a good chunk of walls and flooring.

Scrounge Check

AKA: picking up everything that’s not nailed down.

BOW:

You’ll need to dismantle both locked doors (or the walls next to them) as well as removing a wall panel to get into the 2×2 room with the pallet. All three of these spaces, plus the open rooms on the bottom and third level, have required items, particularly the crates and tanks.

Make sure not to damage the floor under that pallet!

MIDSHIP:

Go down the central corridors to grab the fire buttons and as many fire extinguishers as you still need.

We also need at least 50 kerosene, which are hiding in yellow barrels in the doorless rooms to either side. The best rooms are the two closest to the rear on the starboard side, as shown below.

Neither of these rooms have hazards, so just hack one wall open in each room and grab all the yellow barrels.

The Pallet

This pallet is the only crane-lifted item that we need to get, because of its gold.

Fortunately, this is one of the least finicky crane-able items in the game and only needs the 2×2 floor/ceiling square cleared above it, like so:

This is all the access needed to call in the crane operator.

Metal Harvest

Unfortunately we do need to break out the hammer and saw to hit the metal requirements on all three jobs.

ALUMINUM

There are two easy sources of aluminum. The first is the long pipe networks on the deck. Each pipe segment is 5kg aluminum and there are no hazards, but they do all need to be separated individually.

The second is to dismantle the gas hazard. Because it makes a loop, if you turn it off and cut one segment, the whole loop will break, and the hazard has more than enough aluminum to hit the goal. The switch and most of the loop is on the second floor in the Midship, port side, second room down from the Bow.

Don’t break into this room from the central corridor, it’ll explode.

IRON

Iron is everywhere but the quickest method is to break the platform above the pipelines on the Deck. If you break the top floor panels anchoring the platform to the stairways, whole segments will lose support and collapse, and then it’s super easy to collect the debris and toss it over the side of the ship onto your truck.

HIGH-ALLOY STEEL

The only annoying one. All of those white wall panels are High-Alloy Steel, but it takes a fair quantity of them to get to 800kg.

There are a number of spots where you can be clever and remove supports to make walls collapse, but I’ve found it’s honestly easier to just hammer down the long stretches of wall in the Midship. If you didn’t disable the gas hazard, make sure to avoid that room.

Getting Paid

As soon as you’re able to claim all three contracts, hop off the ship and do so. Since the AOG-G costs $1,500, the second contract will pay for your next loop, and the sum of the other two gives you your profit of $4,200.

You can sort whatever’s left in your truck and sell it, but if you followed this guide and only grabbed what you needed, even with a perfect sort bonus I usually don’t even make $200.

To reach the final $100,000 achievement from zero, doing only this loop, math says you’d need to run it 24 times. Sorting and selling more often than not can bring it down to 23.

Good luck!
