Note: Whenever advancing quests for merchants, make sure to check their inventory. It usually updates. This guide does not include items you can buy or find as a natural result of other activities, such as weapons or armor.
Kukajin & Isaac Quest Note: Apparently the devs hate us. AFAIK, you have to choose between Kukajin or Isaac’s questline per playthrough, as they both require you to summon them for Lightreaper, but only one NPC can be summoned.
RADIANT ENDING
- Light / cleanse all beacons before entering Bramis Castle
INFERNO ENDING
- DO NOT light any beacons–if any beacon is cleansed, you are locked into RADIANT
UMBRAL ENDING – MY CONDOLENCES
- DO NOT light any beacons–if any beacon is cleansed, you are locked into RADIANT
- You must free Gerlinde from Pilgrim’s Perch
- You must do Damarose’s quest until she’s at the Shrine of Adyr, but stop her quest there
- You must do Iron Wayfarer’s quest
- You must defeat Harrower Dervla

ABANDONED REDCOPSE
- Do not kill Lightreaper until Upper Calrath. Die to him everytime you see him (including Upper Calrath)
- With that said, die to Lightreaper, receive achievement
- Retrieve vigor, receive achievement
- Exhaust dialogue for Iron Wayfarer
- Activate the Windmill vestige
- This time in a cave, exhaust dialogue for Iron Wayfarer… again, then use the Vestgie Seed he gives you for an achievement
- Defeat Pieta, then soulflay her memory to obtain a Remembrance
SKYREST BRIDGE
- Exhaust dialogue for Exacter Dunmire, obtain Dark Crusader’s Challenge
- Exhaust dialogue for Andreas of Ebb

- Exhaust dialogue for Stomund, DO NOT BUY THE PILGRIM PERCH KEY
- Interact with the Shrine of Orius (golden shrine in the back near Stomund’s men) for the Orian Vow of Protection gesture
- Interact with the Shrine of the Putrid Mother (in the blue room at the back, have to be in the Umbral world) to acquire Putrid Mothers’ Embrace
PILGRIM’S PERCH
- Exhaust dialogue for Thehk-Ihir
- Obtain Common Orian Prayer gesture (the best one)
- Activate Sanctuary vestige
- Exhaust dialogue for Damarose
- Defeat Scourged Sister Delyth
- Obtain Hallowed Bow
- Obtain Bloody Aspergllum, give this to Exacter Dunmire at some point
- Activate Bellroom vestige
- Exhaust dialogue for Byron
- Do the puzzle in Skyrest’s Bridge, save the Tortured Prisoner
- Return to Skyrest Bridge, go to Pieta’s arena, exhaust dialogue for Tortured Prisoner, then receive the Calrath Noble’s Bow gesture
- Obtain Hallowed Sentinel Scripture, give this to Exacter Dunmire at some point
- Obtain Book of Sin, give this to Exacter Dunmire at some point
- Acquire Prison Cell key, free Gerlinde and Sparky, mostly Gerlinde for now
- In a cave at the bottom of a cave, exhaust dialogue for Damarose… again.
FORSAKEN FEN
- Exhaust dialogue for Thehk-Ihir, obtain Beckoning gesture
- Defeat Congregator of Flesh and soulflay its memory for a Remembrance
- Return to Skyrest, exhaust dialogue for Andreas of Ebb

- Find Kukajin (petrified lady), use a status restoration throwable or spell on her, exhaust her dialogue
- Return to Skyrest Bridge, exhaust dialogue for Kukajin
- Obtain Vanguard Barros’ Rosary, give this to Exacter Dunmire at some point
- (IF DOING KUKAJIN) Die to Hushed Saint
- Summon Kukajin and defeat Hushed Saint, then soulflay his memory for a Remembrance

- Return to Skyrest Bridge and give the Cracked Rune Tablet to Gerlinde, then socket a weapon or shield for an achievement
LOWER CALRATH
- Defeat Infernal Enchantress, obtain Infernal Enchantress Flesh
- Obtain Odd Stone
- Activate Alehouse vestige
- Exhaust dialogue for Iron Wayfarer
- Exhaust dialogue for Drustan, give him Unripe Berries, obtain Wheezing Gesture
- Obtain Ravager Gregory’s Rosary, give this to Exacter Dunmire at some point
- Defeat Spurned Progeny, obtain Spurned Progeny Flesh, and soulflay its memory for a Remembrance
- Return to Skyrest and pick up Andreas of Ebb’s note, then give the Odd Stone to Pieta, then give the Giant Eyeball to the Tortured Prisoner

- Near the archer and hungering knot, soulflay the bridge and fight the Paladin’s Burder boss
- Go to Sepulchre Vestige, use Flayed Skin to open door, acquire profits
- Return to Upper Calrath, die to Lightreaper, then summon Paladin Isaac to kill Lightreaper
- Walk five feet, get ambushed by Andreas of Ebb and exhaust his–I mean kill him
MANSE OF THE HALLOWED BROTHERS
- Exhaust dialogue for Thehk-Ihir
- Exhaust dialogue for Stomund
TOWER OF PENANCE
- Obtain Perception Wisp
- Obtain Rune Tablet

- (IF DOING KUKAJIN) Return to Skyrest Bridge, pay Kukajin
- In Skyrest Bridge, give the Rune Tablet to Sparky (sorry Gerlinde, you have no quest. Also you’re) Alternatively, give to Gerlinde for the best rune in the game.
- At Skyrest, give Exacter Dunmire in the Umbral Room the Perception Wisp
- Find Exacter Dunmire in Sunless Skein
- Go to Mother’s Lull in Harrower Dervla’s arena, exhaust dialogue for Exacter Dunmire
- Go to Mines Vestige, acquire Dunmire’s set and achievement
ABBEY OF THE HALLOWED SISTERS
- Exhaust dialogue for Stomund
- Exhaust dialogue for Thehk-Ihir
- Later in the level, exhaust dialogue for Stomund, give him the Damaged Standard
- Fight the boss and Iron Wayfarer automatically shows up to help. If he doesn’t show up, die or Vestige Moth out, and finish Iron Wayfarer’s quest
- DO NOT OPEN THE LARGE DOUBLE WOODEN DOORS AT THE TOP OF TWO SETS OF STAIRS
- Up the first set of stairs go to the balcony, get the abbess to spawn, obtain the Tattered Banner
- Return to Stomund and give him the Tattered Banner. Buy everything from him as this is your last chance
THE EMPYREAN
- Find Stomund’s set and obtain an achievement
- (IF DOING KUKAJIN) Die to Judge Cleric
- (IF DOING KUKAJIN) Summon Kukajin, then defeat Judge Cleric and soulflay her memory hidden in the Beacon for a Remembrance
- Find Thehk-Ihir… obtain achievement
- (IF DOING KUKAJIN) Return to Skyrest Bridge, pay Kukajin
UPPER CALRATH Pt. 3
- Die to Lightreaper
- Summon Kukajin or Paladin Isaac, then defeat Lightreaper, obtain Lightreaper’s Flesh, then soulflay his memory for a Remembrance
- (IF DOING KUKAJIN) Return to Skyrest Bridge, pay Kukajin
- (IF INFERNO) Return to Shrine, exhaust dialogue for Damarose and give her all items
- Defeat Iron Wayfarer WARNING: OPENING THE…CRAG THING LOCKS YOU INTO AN ENDING. MAKE SURE YOUR BEACONS ARE LIT/UNLIT/UMBRAL STUFF DONE
- Return to Fief vestige, exhaust dialogue for Iron Wayfarer to acquire the surrender gesture
BRAMIS CASTLE
- Enter Bramis Castle, receive achievement
- (IF NOT RADIANT) Exhaust dialogue for Damarose, buy all items
- Soulflay the memory of Drustan’s final moments, obtain his set and achievement..
- AVENGE DRUSTAN, not because you must, but because it’s the right thing to do
- Seriously, this game has no happy endings
- Not even for best boy Drustan
- Obtain the Charred Letter. Return to Tortured Prisoner, buy whatever you need from her, then give the Charred Letter to her
- Find the Swaddling Cloth in the bedroom and return to Bramis Castle Vestige
- Give the Swaddling Cloth to Tortured Prisoner
- (IF DOING KUKAJIN) Die to Sundered King
- (IF DOING KUKAJIN) Summon Kukajin, then defeat Sundered King, then soulflay his memory for a Remembrance
- (IF INFERNO) Obtain Miranda’s Touch
