This Kit’s Quest Secret Eggs Walkthrough guide features hints and walkthroughs for obtaining the 10 secret Eggs hidden throughout Kit’s Quest! It’s very possible to go through the whole game without coming across any of them, but after defeating Dregnor, you meet a character who gives you hints about where they are and how to get them (as well as special rewards for collecting them).
This is the guide Lone Fox Games it was created by. You can find the author’s link at the end of the guide.
Kit’s Quest Secret Eggs Walkthrough
It can be most rewarding to obtain the Eggs with as little assistance as possible, for example by revealing just one hint at a time. But, nothing wrong with using the Kit’s Quest Secret Eggs Walkthrough guide as much as you’d like when you’re feeling stuck, especially as the tasks of finding and reaching these Eggs are some of Kit’s Quest’s biggest challenges!
Egg 1: Fennecton
Location: Through a tunnel high up in the first area of the Fennecton Caves.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use an ability mushroom.
- There’s a Super Jump Mushroom elsewhere in the Fennecton Caves.
- There’s a Super Jump Mushroom in the cave with the large moving pillar (reached by Climbing up from the second area of the Fennecton Caves). Bring the Super Jump back into the first area, and use it from the highest pillar.
Egg 2: Greenwood
Location: On top of Nelli’s Mushroom.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms.
- Get to the upper Super Jump Mushroom in a nearby tree, and then drop down to the lower Super Jump Mushroom on the ground. Bring both Super Jumps over towards Nelli’s Mushroom and use them, making sure to wait until the peak of each jump to maximize your height.
Egg 3: Smugglers’ Hideout
Location: Through a tunnel at the bottom of the lake at the foot of Skyreach Mountain.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use an ability mushroom.
- On Apprentice difficulty, the Metal Mushroom in Greenwood (near the lake which had the first Dragon Tooth) lasts long enough to bring over to Skyreach Mountain. On the other difficulty levels, however, a different Metal Mushroom is needed.
- A Metal Mushroom in the Abandoned Mine (right where you first learn that ability) can be used. Teleport from the Abandoned Mine to the Cavern Entrance with it, and run outside to the underwater tunnel.
Egg 4: Skyreach Cliffs
Location: In an alcove above and to the left of the first elevator.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms along the way.
- You’ll need to Super Jump over to the alcove.
- The foot of Skyreach Mountain has what you need.
- At the foot of Skyreach Mountain, grab the upper Super Jump Mushroom, drop down to the lower one, and then Super Jump back up to where the upper one is. You’ll then have both Super Jumps in hand. Use one to get up to Skyreach Cliffs, ride the first elevator up, and then finally use the remaining Super Jump to the left to reach the alcove.
Egg 5: Skyreach Summit
Location: On a high-up ledge on the right side of Skyreach Summit.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use either one or two ability mushrooms.
- You’ll need to Super Jump up to a high-up spot in Skyreach Summit (multiple spots can do).
- The foot of Skyreach Mountain has what you need.
- At the foot of Skyreach Mountain, grab either one or both of the Super Jump Mushrooms, run over to the stump teleporter by the lake in Greenwood, and teleport to Skyreach Summit. If you have one Super Jump, you can Climb up a bit to the left of the electric gate and then Super Jump on top of the gate; or, if you have two Super Jumps, you can use them to get directly up to any of the high-up cliff ledges on the right side. Either way, finish by making your way rightward to the Egg’s ledge.
Egg 6: Cascade Ravine
Location: Through a tunnel above and to the left of the Rocky Bridge stump teleporter.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms.
- The Ancient Grotto has what you need.
- The closest spot to the tunnel is the Rocky Bridge stump teleporter, but it’s too high to reach from there even if one Ice Block were to be placed there.
- In the Ancient Grotto, quickly grab the green and blue Ice Mushrooms (by dropping down) and head outside to the Upper Riverside stump teleporter. Teleport to the Rocky Bridge, stop off the stump, and stack both Ice Blocks on the stump. Finally, jump off the top of the stack to the tunnel.
Egg 7: Flooded Ruins
Location: In a green structure atop the cliffs.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use an ability mushroom.
- You’ll need to bounce over to it using a Hydrophobic Mushroom, from a sufficiently high-up spot.
- The top of the big tower (when fully raised) is as high up as the Egg’s green structure.
- Start with the big tower lowered. Grab the Hydrophobic Mushroom next to the Cliffside stump teleporter, and teleport to the Lake Center. Start raising the tower, and quickly teleport to Atop the Island and jump atop the rising tower. Finally, jump off the top of the fully-raised tower (from near its center), bouncing off the water a couple of times before reaching the Egg’s green structure.
Egg 8: Luminous Caverns
Location: On a platform high up in the main cavern, far above the tunnel to the Abandoned Mine.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms.
- The Crystalline Grotto has what you need.
- Ascend to the topmost Super Jump Mushroom in the Crystalline Grotto, and then quickly drop down to the middle Super Jump Mushroom followed by the bottom-most one. With all 3 Super Jumps in hand, teleport to the Cavern Entrance and then use them towards the platform, making sure to wait until the peak of each jump to maximize your height.
Egg 9: Great Oak Aerie
Location: High up outside the Elevator Tree, above and to the right of Floor 5.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use multiple ability mushrooms along the way.
- After reaching Floor 5 with the help of a Sticky Spore Mushroom, you’ll need to Zip rightward to reach a set of platforms which lead to the Egg.
- Start by visiting Floor 4’s Sticky Spore Mushroom and planting a spore on the “5” switch on Floor 1. Next, take the elevator up to Floor 3, and teleport to the Stump on a Stump. Grab the Zip Mushroom near there, and then quickly teleport back to By The Elevator, run over to the elevator, detonate your spore from before, and ride up to Floor 5. Finally, run rightward all the way to the end of the planks, and Zip and somersault over to the Egg’s set of platforms.
Egg 10: Enchanted Metalworks
Location: In the main area of the metalworks, on a platform above the main entrance to the Ventilation Room.
How to get it:
- You’ll need to use an ability mushroom.
- The Egg is accessible through an upper tunnel which exits out of the Ventilation Room (above its main entrance).
- In the Ventilation Room, reaching the upper tunnel requires the vents to be set up in a certain configuration.
- In the Ventilation Room, the 2nd puzzle will already need to be completed (such that the 2nd elevator is operational). The 2nd puzzle’s rightmost platform should then be raised as high as possible (with red steam). You’ll need to get across from there to the vent high up on the side wall.
- After setting up the Ventilation Room as described above, visit a Zip Mushroom elsewhere (either the one at the start of the Generator Room, or the one at the top of the Iron Tower’s interior). Quickly make your way to the nearest stump teleporter, teleport to the Ventilation Room, and get onto the 2nd elevator (Zipping along the way to move more quickly). Jump from the elevator onto the platform you’ve set up, and then Zip and somersault over to the vent high up on the side wall, before finally exiting through the upper tunnel.
