In Granblue Fantasy Relink, weapons are very important for characters to deal damage and increase stats. In our guide, we explained in detail which weapons you should use, how to obtain the weapons, and most importantly, how to upgrade your weapon in the game.
How to Upgrade Weapons GBF Relink
Weapons are essential in Granblue Fantasy Relink, serving as primary gear for characters to deal damage and boost stats. Each weapon has unique stats and effects, contributing to a character’s abilities. While characters have specific weapon types, they can use weapons from any of the five categories. This guide provides players with details on weapons, including stats and locations, to help them make informed decisions for character builds. In the game, weapons are categorized by both character and type, allowing for flexibility and diverse role customization within the party.
How to get Weapons
Weapons and their upgrade materials can be obtained by exploring and looting chests, both during exploration and while completing side quests. In the Main Menu, players can access the Gear section to equip weapons for each character or view all acquired weapons in the Inventory section.
Additionally, weapons can be forged at the Blacksmith, located in towns or Hallowed Grounds. Forging requires special materials to create new weapons, expanding the player’s character arsenal. Newly forged weapons may come pre-leveled based on the character’s progress in the game, eliminating the need to start at level one and consume excessive resources to match the party’s current level and game difficulty.
How to Upgrade Weapons
Similar to characters, weapons in Granblue Fantasy Relink have levels. Players can check a weapon’s current level by selecting it from the Inventory or Gear section in the Main Menu, alongside six hollow stars. The game follows an Upgrade System common in gacha games but distinguishes itself by not being a gacha game.
Weapons have a capped max level until uncapped by filling out each star. Starting with no stars, the initial cap is level 10, which increases to level 30 after the first star is uncapped. Subsequent stars raise the cap to level 50 and so on, allowing weapons to reach a maximum level of 120. Uncapping a weapon’s max level also enhances its trait level. Upgrading involves using Fortitude materials, increasing base HP and ATK stats, while uncapping and filling stars require various Refinium materials based on the desired rank.
