Far Cry 6 Meet Monteros Walkthrough
Meet The Monteros
NOTE: Although you can take on several other missions at this point, Clara recommends starting here, and we agree! There are some excellent things to pick up in Madrugada, so we’ll be focusing on that to allow us to lean further into stealth gameplay and much, much more.
Make Contact with Philly
Once you are finished with Clara, head back to Juan’s workshop, but this time walk up the grassy slope to the left of the workshop entrance.
Here, you’ll find a small vehicle. Hop inside and you’ll be able to fly, which will make reaching Madrugada much easier.
Fly due north and stay low to the ground, as there are anti-aircraft installations across greater Yara, and they will shoot you down.
Fly low, and follow the streams and inlets from the ocean and you’ll soon reach the airfield where Clara said you’d find Philly; the Montero’s engineer.
Land and walk over to him and a cutscene will trigger, introducing you to Philly and Chorizo.
Find Espada – Far Cry 6 Meet The Monteros Walkthrough
After a… potentially explosive introduction, Philly will tell you that you’ll need to get in good with Espada to meet the leader of the Montero family.
Hop back in your flying contraption and stay low to the ground as you fly to the east, towards Tobacco Valley.
Stay near the main road to avoid restricted areas and land in the grassy area just north of the main building, or near the Viviro fields to the west.
From these locations, you can scout and take out an Officer as they patrol with their RPG-toting group between the main compound and the fields.
Use your suppressed MS16 S and attacks from either Guapo or Champagne (if you acquired them via the Vice Pack) to take them out, which will give you plenty of room to move around without being spotted.
As you approach the main building, you’ll learn the reason for that; La Espada has been killing all the guards.
Before you head inside, you can climb a tower just to the east of the building and scope more of the area out, including the Viviro fields, then head down to the main entrance, sabotage the alarm just to the right of the doors, then head inside.
Feel free to loot the place, then head upstairs and follow the path around until you find a dying soldier, then turn left.
Walk to the end of the hall and open the door to enter a cutscene introducing Camila.
Follow Espada – Far Cry 6 Meet The Monteros Walkthrough
After the violent introduction, soldiers will arrive, so follow Camila back to the staircase and out to the courtyard.
Secure The Area
Waves of enemies will close in, but you have good defensive positions, so take advantage of them.
We also recommend switching back to Guapo (if you aren’t already using him) because it’s very easy for both Camila and your Amigo to be knocked out during this encounter, but Guapo’s self-revive ability will mean you won’t need to stay out of cover trying to revive TWO companions at once.
Use the barricades on the staircase to take out the enemy soldiers, and take advantage of the machine gun turret. Dip back into the house and round the corner when you need to heal, to give yourself some breathing room.
Use fire rounds on the yellow Viviro truck when the military transport pulls up on the right side of the courtyard to blow them both up, then hop on the machine gun turret to take out the attack helicopter to bring an end to the encounter.
Follow Espada (Part 2) – Far Cry 6 Meet The Monteros Walkthrough
Follow Camila as she runs to the stable and hops on a horse.
Mount your own, then follow her as she runs through the compound, inexplicably attracting the attention of every soldier and Viviro sprayer in the area.
Stop for a moment under the bridge, until the tank passes, then continue to follow her as she winds along the coast and up the mountain path to the Montero farm.
Dismount and head inside to meet the head of the Montero family. A cutscene will trigger, marking the end of the operation.
