Die in the Dungeon Origins Monsters Guide
This guide will show you list of all bugs in the dungeon, some stats and strategy.
Photographer’s Notes
Fly
- Base health 6
- Base attack 1, 2, or 3
- Always spawns first floor
- 1-boost + 2 2-attack die, 2-boost + 2 attack, or 3-boost
Spider
- Base heath 10
- Base attack 2×2 or 2×3
- Prioritize – high damage output compared to HP
Moth
- Base Health 10
- Base attack 1, 2, or 3
- Can heal the lowest health enemy (even if that enemy is full health)
- Be opportunistic and kill when you can
Ant
- Base Health 5
- Base attack 2, 3, or 4
- Blocks a space on the board
- Be careful since your boost dice can boost them
Roach
- Base Health 7
- Base attack 2×2, or 2×3
- Has accurate kill – any damage above their remaining health causes them to respawn with +2 max health
- They stop respawning when they reach x2 their original max hp
- They do not spawn in endless except for certain failed events
Mimic
- Base Health 9
- Base attack 1
- Will mimic the moves you take (if you attack, they attack, or if you boos, they will boost)
- Prioritize as they can be unpredictable if you are not watching your own moves
Beetle
- Base Health 19
- Base attack 3 or 4
- Can shield the lowest health enemy
- Enemy block does not carry over turn after turn and is lost if you kill the beetle
Axe Bug
- Base Health 14
- Base attack 10
- Targets weak points on the board. If those points are covered by dice, the axe attack reduces to 5
- PRIORITIZE – has some of the highest damage outputs and will prevent you from using optimal boost pattern
Plague Doctor
- Base Health 14
- Base attack 2 or 6
- Infects a slot on the board causing dice placed on that spot to be -1
- DO play on the infected spot or the plague doctor’s next attack will be higher and the infected spot will spread
- Boost dice are not affected by the -1
Caterpillar
- Base Health 3
- Base Attack 1 or 2
- Tasty effects are trigger when you kill them
- Green – player regains 2 health
- Blue – player gains 2 block
- Red – player LOSES 2 health
- Normal – random enemy loses 2 health
Grub
- Base Health 22
- Base attack 1×7 or 2×7
- If you attack the grub at all it will be stunned and will not attack you
- Use a flash dice to stun him, or prioritize him if he has the highest damage output
Elite Fly
- Base Health 10
- Base attack 2×3, 3×3, 7
- Prioritize as it is easy to kill and puts out a lot of damage
Elite Spider
- Base Health 15
- Base attack 4×2 or 5×2
- Prioritize if you can kill it turn 1. One of the highest damage enemies
Elite Moth
- Base Health 20
- Base attack 4 or 7
- Can heal lowest health enemy
- Save for last – damage is fairly low for the amount of effort to kill
Elite Beetle
- Base Health 28
- Base attack 4 or 7
- Can give defense to the lowest health enemy
- Try to kill with turn 1 burst or save for last
Banshee
- Base Health 12
- Base attack 3 or 4
- Attacks before the player
- Use flash attack to strike first (or defend first)
Scorpion Rider
- Base Health 250 (25 for rider)
- Base attack 5×2 (5 for rider)
- The rider can attack you, or add block to the scorpion
- Target the rider with the opening slot – flash works well to get multiple attacks on the same spot
- Mark of the Chosen can synergize with flash and most relics on this boss run
- Beware of Bullseye and Blindfold since it can make it harder to target the rider
- When the rider is stunned, target the x3 vulnerable spots
- When the rider recovers, it will boost the scorpion’s attack
Grasshopper
- Random event
- If you have glass, can be good to try to “repair the damage” for a relic
- If you fail the event, the grasshopper will turn one die to glass
Collector
- Random event
- He asks to see “rare dice” – ie, combo of terrain, mirror, prism
- No penalty for fail
Shade
- Random event
- Hollow gives you a boost for your role
- Failing gives you the Primordial Fear Curse
