Dead Matter Unspoken Rules
Part I – Approaching Strangers
When in view of a stranger and your intentions are not to combat them here are some simple but effective ways to make sure you don’t get chopped up or gunned down!
- Step 1 – Stand in clear view of stranger without a weapon drawn
- Step 2 – Remove pants to help the stranger understand you are friendly
- Step 3 – Slowly and calmly approach the stranger and if not informed about the no pants equals friendly law, inform them to save others the trouble.
Part II – Killing Strangers
With my whole zero hours experience as I wait for my download since I was not one of the lucky few to get their copy on time (no shade~) I have assumed this is what killing a stranger is like in Dead Matter!
When in PvP to make sure we do not make this game a toxic mess like Dayz official servers or the god forsaken squeaker heaven known as Rust we must follow a unspoken rule or Honor System if you will.
- Step 1 – Once you have killed your possible friend that you helplessly slaughtered cause that one apple on him was really worth it, please proceed to only take what is needed. Don’t take Jmaster155124’s only pistol that had no ammo just cause you don’t want him to have it, keep the players (especially new ones) interested in the game! Let’s not pull a Tarkov here and make it only the best of the best versus the casuals!
- Step 2 – Don’t take, unless its called for! If someones just having fun having some playful banter with you, doesn’t mean their a prick STAY HUMBLE GUYS.
- Step 3 – After your kill has been looted if they come back and you are still around, polietly warn them that if they go near their stuff till you are gone, you’ll blow their

- Step 4 – If there are multiple hostiles and you are out numbered, all rules go out the window! Boast all you want cause your are the best! Don’t forget to strip them of everything and talk about how awesome you are. GO YOU!
- Step 5 – If you out number them? Well…Refer back to Steps 1-3 cause you’re a bad person to kill a helpless solo like that. Shame.
