About Contraband Police
In Contraband Police, players start off as a rookie border guard tasked with inspecting vehicles entering the country for contraband. As the game progresses, the player can earn promotions, unlock new areas to patrol, and upgrade their equipment to make their job easier.
The game is played from a first-person perspective, with the player controlling a character who is stationed at a border checkpoint. The player must stop each vehicle that approaches the checkpoint, question the driver, and then inspect the vehicle for any illegal items.
During inspections, players can use a variety of tools such as a flashlight, a mirror, and a metal detector to search the vehicle. Players must be thorough in their searches, as smugglers may try to hide contraband in clever ways, such as in hidden compartments or under false bottoms.
Contraband Police also features a morality system that tracks the player’s actions throughout the game. Players are rewarded for finding contraband, but must be careful not to wrongfully accuse innocent drivers or damage their vehicles during searches.
The game’s ultimate goal is to uncover a major smuggling operation that is operating in the player’s jurisdiction. The player must gather evidence by inspecting vehicles and interviewing drivers in order to track down the smugglers and bring them to justice.
