Baldur’s Gate 3 Gold Cheat
You’ll need some starting gold, even a few hundred will do. This method works with small items too. However, it’s more effective to use higher-value items. I also recommend boosting your reputation with the vendor or using a Charisma-based character. This will lower buying costs and increase selling prices. While not mandatory, it significantly improves efficiency.
Look for a vendor with a wide range of items for sale. Armor and weapons are good choices, provided the vendor has a sufficient quantity. Opt for items that don’t stack naturally. While scrolls and similar items can work, they’re less ideal due to their stacking behavior.
Organize your inventory so that you have a section with a continuous line of non-stacked items, followed by one item that does stack. In my inventory, I buy armor, and at the end of the armor list, there’s a stack of arrows. The stacking item can be anything, as long as it’s in line with what you’re selling.
Now, switch to Barter Mode to initiate the duplication process. Induce some lag in the game by running other applications, like Chrome with multiple tabs open or playing video files. The goal is to slow down Baldur’s Gate 3 without crashing it. The more sluggish, without crashing, the better.
You’ll also need an auto-clicker. I have mine set to click once every 0.01 seconds.
Position your cursor on the first item in the list that you want to sell. As items are sold, the game will shift the rest up. Due to the lag, you’ll be able to sell multiple copies of the second item because the game allows you to “buy it back.”
Gradually, the game will sell each item, and when you reach the stacked item, the pop-up for selecting the number of items will indicate that the duplication process is complete.
Repeat this process indefinitely. I recommend saving your progress regularly since this method can potentially lead to crashes.
