How Remove Roofs, Stairs and Elements for Story Mode in House Flipper 2
First you need to access your profile on C:\users\usarname\documents\HouseFlipper2\Profiles , then choose the profile you are using , go now to Folder Houses , inside you will have “D1-0 Starter [email protected]” , copy this file go back one step and past the file into Sandbox Houses .
Now log into the game , choose sandbox mode , you will see the “D1-0 Starter [email protected]” available there , so hit play and edit it , once inside remove roofs , stairs and other elements that are not possible to delete in story mode , while in sandbox you can add also sandbox items , then save .
Close game and go again to C:\users\usarname\documents\HouseFlipper2\Profiles , this time will do the inverse , open Sandbox Houses folder , copy the file you edit “D1-0 Starter [email protected]” , go back one step and open Houses folder , paste the file “D1-0 Starter [email protected]” and let it be overwrited there .
Log into game again and hit continue in story mode , voila , what you remove on sandbox can now be placed as you wish in story mode , along the sandbox items you place in the house when edit it . So nothing different that developers not have already made in several houses in story mode , if you delete sandbox only items they can’t be replaced in story mode , but they can be replaced in sandbox when you wish by doing the same steps again . At least houses will have much better look in story mode for a while , because probably my knowledge tells me they will lock it sooner or later
You can add also sandbox items to story mode houses this way while you are in sandbox , remember to save before leave sandbox mode .
Note that if you sell any house modified by this method , when buy it again it will return to it’s original state , except for the Parent’s House , so always keep original files backup for any time you decide to turn it in original state
So use it at your own risk , like you do with mods.io or any steam workshop available , after all they all modify files
If you don’t know how to performe this steps or how to edit the house in sandbox mode then better not mess with it , make always a manual backup of your saves , also i don’t assume any responsability for you don’t know what you doing there .
This guide was tested for several hours and with all houses and works 100% if you know what you doing
Too who says the game could crash , the truth is the game is crashing itself from nowhere even without using this guide and so far i don’t have any crashes with this method , so try it yourselfs , just saying
There’s also the possibility to place your own houses in story mode , but that is for more advanced players , i already have tested it and it works 100% , so this guide opens a door to something much better then some story mode ugly houses , maybe one day i can make a guide about it too , but now not in the mood to let everyone know the same as me here , so …
