RoboCop Rogue City Crashing and FPS FIX
I thought to myself, “This game runs on UE5, not UE4. Epic Games surely didn’t overlook fixing this UE4 issue when transitioning to UE5.” However, it appears they may have indeed overlooked it, as this resolved the crashing issue in my game! I’m showing the solutions in this RoboCop Rogue City Crashing and FPS FIX guide!
If the initial step doesn’t work (remember to restart your PC after modifying the registry), proceed as follows: right-click on the game in your Steam Library, choose “Browse Local Files,” locate the .exe file, right-click on it, navigate to the compatibility menu, and select “Run this program as an administrator.” Additionally, change the operating system compatibility mode to Windows 8 and make sure to apply the changes.
I also uninstalled the game and reinstalled it on a different SSD, which may also assist in resolving the issue.
I took the extra step of deleting the game’s configuration file from the Steam save files, although I’m not certain if this had any impact. It might be worth doing this as a precaution.
With these adjustments, your game should hopefully run smoothly at 60 FPS. My four-year-old desktop, equipped with a 1660S GPU and a 2600X AMD CPU, can handle the game at 60 FPS. If that’s the case, I’m confident your PC can achieve the same. I implemented all these measures in sequence, so it’s unclear which one specifically resolved the issue. Feel free to try them one at a time or all at once, as I did.
