Chronotopia Second Skin Elemental Spirits & Memory Fragments
This Chronotopia Second Skin Elemental Spirits & Memory Fragments guide is meant to help you collect all the collectibles hidden in Chronotopia: Second Skin. Those collectibles being elemental spirits and memory fragments as archives are unlocked by simply following the story and sometimes making specific choices (see previous guide).
First you will be given a hint (screenshot) and what is the latest relevant selection for you to save and find the collection on your own. If you’re still struggling, you’ll see the spoilers for his answer.
Memory Fragments
Route Commune
Appears shortly after the “Show interest” / “Do not say anything” choice
The magic circle behind the fairy
You will be rewarded with Fragment n°2: The Pact
Route B1
Appears a long time after the “Act as if nothing had happened” / “Follow Fleur” choice
The bottle of absinthe on the table (right side)
You will be rewarded with Fragment n°1: The Green Fairy
Route C2
Appears shortly after the hidden object game
The letter
You will be rewarded with Fragment n°3: The Letter
Transition
Appears a long time after the last “Invoke the fairy” choice (stake)
The vial near Nahima’s hand
You will be rewarded with Fragment n°4: The Poison
Endings
Depending on how many memory fragments you find in one playthrough, you get a different ending for the lost soul:
- No fragment (0) > One of these days
- Some fragments (between 1 and 3) > Back to the beginning
- All fragments (4) > Your name is…
Elemental Spirits
Water
This one regularly appears throughout the B2 route so there are plenty of opportunities to grab it and plenty of possible save files.
The water spirit is engraved on the well of Griselde’s castle courtyard (bottom left part of the screen)
Fire
This one appears both in the C1 route and in the C2 route during the same specific event. The last relevant point will either be the “Socialization / Management / Embroidery” choice or the hidden object game.
The fire spirit is bouncing up and down in the fireplace of Kionna’s Clairmont bedroom (middle right part of the screen)
Air
This one appears briefly but several times throughout the D route. The last relevant choice is either “I have no idea / Time is absorbing itself” or “Appeal to authority / Appeal to benevolence”.
The air spirit is hidden in the clouds, seen in Genèse’s palace garden (top right part of the screen)
Earth
The last one appears extremely briefly and only in Médeia’s ending so the last choice at your disposal is “Become a fairy”, in other words entering her path.
The earth spirit is hidden in the roots of the World Tree (middle right part of the screen)
Reward
Collecting all elemental spirits will give you the Researcher achievement
