The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Welcome to our The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks guide. This guide is a general breakdown of the things you can do with items, their purposes, and some general tips and tricks.

  • The break in is a stealth based game, going loud is going to result in you getting the cops called, losing out on money, or getting arrested entirely and losing money all together.
  • Team work is VITAL. and communication is KEY. even if you don’t talk, use some form of communication, wave your arms, thumbs up ,shake your head, jump up and down.
  • if you’re not able to communicate in this game, you won’t go very far, without warning of npc’s, handing things off, trying not to break things.

There’s online lobbys you can connect to and even private one’s you can create using custom key words.
if you do make a public one, the names you make the lobby are PUBLIC. So if you get banned for writing some dumb stuff. that’s on you.

Starting Gear – Currently

So when you first spawn in, you’ll be at the main base of operations.

The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks
  • Here you can choose between a few things to add to your arsenal, all being how you prefer to play.
  • and personal choice.
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Firecrackers!

  • These are your basic run of the mill sound poppers, they can distract and lure people places you need them to be.
  • You can pop these near or around a locked door, forcing the NPC to unlock it to invistigate. they’ll sometimes leave the door open or unlocked after, allowing you easy access for both leaving, entering or spying on the npc’s walking patterns. You get 3 every level!
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Flashlight!

  • This is the best friend, first start of a robbers arsenal, its the first thing you’ll be able to buy if you so choose, allows for illumination in dark places and if you toggle it on and put it back on your belt, the light stays on! However: NPC’S, both guards, police, and normal npc’s (civilians) can see the light, and will investigate, so make sure to turn it off when you’re not needing it..or you’ll end up giving your position away!
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Hammer!

  • Smashes things, LOUDLY.
  • This is great for causing distractions or if you need to get into some where, this is a MUST HAVE and its recommended as your first purchase. as it’ll carry you a good while on solo, being able to smash windows, break items, and even knock NPC’s (Not guards or police) unconscious. Be warned, continued/multiple knock outs will result the npc getting up quicker each time, but its great to have on any mission.
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Wrench!

  • This one is a MUST if you’re someone who enjoy’s being stealthy, got a locked door? Wrench it! got a camera being annoying? wrench it! need to remove something that’s bolted down? You guessed it, WRENCH IT! this thing can remove doors and other objects without alerting anyone, though do be careful, the door can go flying and if an NPC is behind or in the way of that flying door…well it’ll give you a damn good laugh but might alert them if it breaks something while its going flying.
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Swag Bag

  • The holy bag it self. This thing is an amazing tool to carry.
  • It saves on having to carry all the small junk back from places, it’ll fill up and over time become full, not allowing you to put anymore, simply walk back and then hold the bag with both hands and press either the trigger or activate button and it’ll spit out all the contents with each trigger, though do be warned, a lot of small items can be chaotic in one space and go flying.
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Headlight!

  • This one is to help you see what’s in the area around you, however it comes with draw backs, all NPC’s, including guards will SEE your light and investigate, they won’t make an alert noise, so be careful. if you hear foot steps, get to hiding or turn it off and hope you don’t get caught
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Lamp shade!

  • This is for staying stealthy and getting into places easier, it stops all npc’s, guards and even the police from seeing you.
  • Use this to take out camera’s, or to quickly hide in an area, to monitor a guards walk path or to just be stand out for your friends.
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Portable Airbags!

  • These..are still newish to me, me and my friends haven’t much used these, as the smallest movement with them cause them to POP…LOUDLY, which can alert enemies to your position almost INSTANTLY.
  • These are great for moving objects out of places, second story window, some where high, smash able objects can be used with this to stop them from completely breaking…in case your on solo, or if your friend has butter fingers. though as stated above, the minute they hit a surface *POP* and every npc in the area will check it out.
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Rocket boosters!

These handy lil things are LOUD when activated, but allow you to move heavy objects with ease, Cars, trucks, food stalls, etc. once you get this going, it’ll go in any direction it feels like, you won’t have any control over it, so do be warned. id advise staying away from the item once you get it going, the noise will draw in NPC’s, and guards.

The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Ladder!

  • This one doesn’t need much explaining, its a ladder, it helps you climb things, general usage of this is basically to climb houses, or to carry heavy objects to ontop of your vehicle…I use it for the semi, trying to get anything on top of that is hard, but the ladder allows the item to slide up it, as I carry it along, allowing much easier movement with heavy objects.
The Break In Items, Tips & Tricks

Climbing Pick!

  • This one’s pretty fun but can be annoying at times, this allows you to scale walls without a ladder, great for looking through a second story window and having a look inside, see if anything is valuable, maybe an open window or attic you can sneak into. YOU WILL NEED TWO OF THEM IN ORDER TO CLIMB. So it will take up TWO slots to use them. however..hey free climbing and it also works as a smash able weapon for windows or breakables!

Tactical Bananans!

  • These things are confusing as heck at first! “TACITCAL BANANAS?? WHAT THE HECK?”
  • These things are actually EXTREMELY useful once you learn how to use them, these things are able to knock out npc’s, guards and even the police!
  • When you click with your trigger or button of choice, you’ll shoot the banana (makes LOUD noise and alerts all NPC and guards near by who can hear it) and leaves the peel on the ground, anyone who steps on it, will instantly be knocked out.
  • however they are only one time use, meaning the minute someone slips on them, that peel is gone, and you’ll need to use ANOTHER banana! you get 3 every level!

General Tips and Tricks!

In the break in, you’ll come across many levels that’ll be randomly generated npc locations, loot, and many other factors into the game, here are some general tips that helped me and my friends through the starting levels and figuring things out.

Aim low at the start

  • When you’re starting out with nothing more then a bike and basket, don’t try to aim for the high missions with a TON of rewards, you won’t be able to carry ANYTHING of real value, except maybe a safe. your tiny little basket can’t hold much!
  • The game factors in your vehicle and will take in account on what you’re trying to steal, you can’t put a car ontop of a bike and call that stealing, that’s not how it works.

What can each vehicle steal?

  • If you’re ever curious as to “What I can steal?” when you’re in the main lobby, and checking out your get away vehicles, each one has a mystery mark next to it, upon hovering over it, it’ll give you information on what you can steal, anything over that item, you wont be able to steal, and won’t get anything out of it, even if you did steal it. the game will even warn you if its over your max weight limit.

Organize!

  • So many people think you can just shove items willy nilly into the back of your vehicle, box or whatever your stealing in. Just take or have someone organize it, you’ll get so much more room to steal, and fit if you just take 5 second to fit in place.

Always be on alert!

  • The npc’s can change their course of movement CONSTANTLY, if you break a window, they spot a light on, or things that suddenly change, they’ll investigate and it can lead them to messing up your plans, npc’s suddenly going into buildings that were empty for your entire time through the mission and suddenly appearing with the lights on, npc’s standing in the same room as you suddenly and never moving until your friend has to break a window.
  • Anything can happen and it can QUICKLY lead to disaster.

Careful grabbing things!

  • This game is VERY finiky with its grabbing, if you’re to close to a wall and have an item pushing up against you, it can lead you to GLITCHING through and being forced to phase through the wall or object your against, it can lead you to being seen by camera’s, guards, npc’s and it can lead to you making some quick choice making.

Alot of buildings and edges are climbable

  • Don’t be afraid to use the jump function to grab onto ledges of houses, buildings and even tree’s! all of them being climbable, it gives yourself the advantage or an easier access to a new place, be warned many of them don’t like visitors and will have camera’s, so bring a wrench!

The Environment is your friend

  • If you have a heavy item and can’t get up some where, use another smaller item to SLOWLY push the other item up for your friend while they push/pull it to where you need it. you can also use this to get to higher area’s you can’t reach in case you dont have a ladder, using the trash cans to get up higher to knock off camera’s or to get up to the second story part of the building, just be careful not to make to much noise dragging it.
