Metro Exodus Good Ending
Metro Exodus has two different endings depending on how you play the game. Getting the “good ending” i.e the one that’s viewed as happier (although both endings have some sadness to them) involves playing the game as morally as possible.
Only kill enemies (bandits, pirates, pioneers, mutants, cannibals etc).
For good measure, don’t kill any enemies that are surrendering (i.e have their hands up). You can still knock them out for the loot though.
Do not kill the slaves or the fanatics. Characters will directly tell you not to kill them.
Side quests do not seem to have an impact. Some think the Good Ending requires doing specific side missions (such as getting the girl’s teddy bear, recovering the guitar from an enemy base, freeing the slaves, and finding the photograph for Giul (the woman you meet during the To the Lighthouse mission)).
This does not seem to factor in as the only thing during the Good Ending playthrough was retrieve the photograph while in the Com Center which is explained in the Walkthrough.
What’s the difference between the good ending and the bad ending?
The ending changes who dies. There is a funeral at the end for one person. Who that person is depends on how you play.
