Rewind or Die Achievements Guide
Welcome to our Rewind or Die Achievements Guide. ‘Tread carefully boy, for today could be your last among the living… Use W/A/S/D for movement and the mouse for looking around and inventory management. TAB opens up the said inventory; holding down SHIFT while moving makes you sprint, while holding down C makes you crouch.’ These should pop up at key points during a first run.

Secrets
The following can also be unlocked via chapter select in case they are missed on the first run.
Making Friends
- Pet Zakk in the alley.Chapter 1. On your way to work, interact with Zakk the dog sitting next to the hobo in the alley.
Movie Buff
- Listen to all of the customer’s movie facts.Chapter 1. Once he shows up, keep listening to the buff until he has no more facts to share.
Arcade Master
- Beat the Flap.exe high score.Chapter 2. Interact with the arcade machine and beat the high score of 16.
Don’t Give Up Your Day Job
- Listen to Cap’s comedy material.Chapter 2. Once Cap shows up and takes his place by the bin, interact with him to hear a joke.
Man Down
- Let Cap die.
No Man Left Behind
- Save Cap from the incinerator.Chapter 5. Opening up the incinerator chambers is tied to progression, yet the achievements are listed here since it is possible to kill or save Cap while doing so. Replacing the incinerator’s power pack without turning off the gas results in his death, while doing it the other way round keeps him alive. For getting both of the achievements and the best ending in a single run; kill him the first time around, restart the chapter, then save him and continue on.
It Was You All Along!
- Defeat the secret boss.Chapter 5. Just before the tanning room, there is a locked door with a swine logo sprayed on it. Unlocking it requires finding and shooting five pig toys spread throughout the slaughterhouse, as well as activating a rather unusual switch.
After defeating the killer, make a round on the grounds and shoot the toys that are:
- hidden in the cupboard found at the middle of the loft,
- residing on the beam above the path that leads to the loft,
- hidden in one of the lockers found at the back of the security room,
- residing on the stretcher next to the conveyor belt (reached through the freezer),
- hidden in the drawer at the corner of the tanning room.
Once you shoot all of the toys, interact with the pile of skulls found by the haystacks next to the incinerator to unlock the swine door. Go through it, interact with the book on the altar and battle it out with the emerging mastermind. Be sure to pick up the bolt cutter that is lowered down after the fight as it is required for saving Zakk the dog.
The Goodest Boy
- Save Zakk from the slaughterhouse.Chapter 5. Rescue Zakk the dog from the cage found at the back of the shower room by using the bolt cutter. Check the previous achievement for the steps required to obtain the bolt cutter.
Full House
- Leave the slaughterhouse with Cap and Zakk.Chapter 5. Get out of the slaughterhouse in the company of Cap and Zakk, thus get the best ending. Steps for rescuing them are listed in the descriptions of the last three achievements.
