If you’re hit by the Sapscourge’s sap, you can craft a spring to shake it off. When the Sapscourge enters rage mode, it will deal more damage and move much faster, much like other kemonos. During rage mode, their projectiles become more lethal, and their rolling attack inflicts significantly more damage. It’s important not to be too greedy for hits and take things slow to avoid taking too much damage. The Sapscourge can also combo the rolling attack with a body slam that can instantly kill you, so caution is advised.
Once the Sapscourge takes you to its lair, you’ll encounter Ujishige, who is trapped in the sap. This is the perfect opportunity to deliver the finishing blow and complete the quest.
