Claiming a ship in Atlas involves a few steps, but it is a relatively straightforward process. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to claim a ship in Atlas:
- Find an unclaimed ship: The first step in claiming a ship in Atlas is to find an unclaimed ship. These ships are usually found on the shores or in the water, and they do not have any flag or sails raised. You can also check with other players if they have any unused ships that they’re willing to give away.
- Approach the ship: Once you have found an unclaimed ship, swim or sail to it and approach it closely. You should see a message on the screen that says “Press E to claim the ship.”
- Claim the ship: Press the “E” key to claim the ship. You will then be prompted to name your ship and choose a flag design.
- Access the ship’s inventory: After claiming the ship, you can access its inventory by pressing and holding the “F” key. From here, you can add or remove items and make any necessary repairs.
- Set sail: Once your ship is seaworthy, raise the sails and set a course for adventure! Remember to keep an eye on your ship’s health and make any repairs as needed.
It’s important to note that some servers or game modes in Atlas may have different rules or restrictions on ship claiming, so be sure to check with your server administrator or the game’s official forums for more information.

Question & Answer
Q: I think i heard some of my friends say their ship was being claimed but how does ship claiming work cause we destroyed someones bed on a ship and tried to claim it in middle of sea but could not figure it out can any of u help me and my friends out here
A: Piracy skills – Get the skill called whats yours is mine. Its all the way at the buttom. After that you can claim ships but it takes 2 hours and 30 mminutes to claim and u need to be at the boat for that time to get it. Have fun.
A2: I wanna know too, cuz if that’s the case I might as well just focus on leveling and get the skill, instead of spending days building a galleon lolI feel like boat/ship ownership should be permanently bound or despawn when you logoff (not during combat of course).
