Cattails Catching and Gathering
Having a hard time understanding how to gather food or what to gather? Here’s a guide we’ve tried to put together that tells just that.
How do you Catching and Gathering Food in Cattails?
Catching Prey
When I first started playing, even with the tutorial I was a little dumb and struggled to catch food a bit more then I’d liked to have.
Due to that reason, I looked for guildes on how to catch things but wasn’t able to find any. Which brings me to create this guilde. Hope this helps anyone who struggled like me!

– To start, when you come across an animal, you’ll want to start shifting, also known as crouching.
– One you’ve started that, when you get in line of sight of the prey, you’ll see the circle fill with a blue colour.
– Once it hits a full circle, it will turn purple briefly then to blue again and that’s when you hit space!
You may not catch your prey the first time but it shouldn’t take long after that to get the hang of it.

I wish you luck! If the written version here doesn’t make that much sense, a video with visuals below may make more sense!

Gathering
As far as gathering food goes, just click on it and it will go into your inventory as long as it’s not full.
Things from bushes will go in your inventory if it’s not full, if it is, it will tell you and not leave the bush.
Note
–> If you leave something on the ground, prey or supplies from your inventory. It will stay on the ground until you come back.
