Pedro Land DX Achievements Guide 100%
In this guide we’ll quickly walk you through the 14 achievements currently in Pedro Land DX, and offer some words of encouragement for this tough little game.
Prologue: First Steps
Taco Tower is the prologue chapter of PLDX, and has 1 unique achievement. it’s also the easiest chapter to get through, so it shouldn’t pose too much of a challenge just yet.
Tower Boy
Reclaim the ancient spire and clear Taco Tower!
Tower Boy is obtained by beating Taco Tower, the prologue chapter of PLDX. Nothing too challenging yet, but the heat will set in soon! Story achievement, cannot miss.
Chapter 1: Old Bones, New Blood
Pedro Land is the first chapter of PLDX, and has 1 unique achievement. This chapter is the original game, polished up and consumer-grade. With a little practice, it should go down pretty quick.
Beast Slayer
Defeat the Chupacabra King and clear Pedro Land!
Beast Slayer is obtained by beating Pedro Land, the first chapter of PLDX. This chapter has some tricky platforming here and there, but nothing impossible. Take care to get used to Pedro’s jump height and move speed, as some later chapters get pretty tough. That said, this one isn’t bad. Story achievement, cannot miss.
Chapter 2: Ghost Pepper Chewing Gum
Spicy Salsa is the second chapter of PLDX, and has 1 unique achievement. It’s also a crazy difficulty spike, and of the 6 chapters, this one was the last one I beat. I’d honestly recommend skipping Spicy Salsa for a while and coming back to it after PL2 or PL3, if you’re not concerned with the overall plot. Otherwise, it’s gonna take some practice.
Color Coder
Defeat Gobby the Color Thief and clear Spicy Salsa!
Color Coder is obtained by beating Spicy Salsa, the second chapter of PLDX. This one really just requires patience, as Spicy Salsa as a whole is kinda a huge difficulty spike for where it’s placed in the order, specifically because of some nasty jumps. If you’ve gotten the hang of the platforming quick, this one may come easy for you. Otherwise, it’s a real headache. Fortunately, it doesn’t require you to do anything more than simply beating the chapter. Story achievement, cannot miss.
Chapter 3: Lost in the Hot Sauce – Pedro Land DX Achievements Guide
Pedro Land 2 is the third chapter of PLDX, and has 5 unique achievements. This is where exploring starts paying out achievements, so be sure to keep your eyes out for sparkly spaces when you’re platforming, and try to interact with all the doors you come across! There are plenty of secrets and warps scattered through PL2, and a handful of ’em award achievements for finding them, so you might need to play through a few times to get everything.
Dirt Poor
Get the bad ending in Pedro Land 2.
Dirt Poor is obtained by failing to collect at least 4 tokens during the events of Pedro Land 2. if you’ve used a lot of warps to get around and haven’t collected many tokens by the time you get to the “end” of Pedro Land 2, you’ll pick this achievement up. It might also trigger even if you get the good ending as well, so it’s not one to worry about.
Richer and Richer
Get the good ending in Pedro Land 2!
Richer and Richer can be obtained by clearing the final world of Pedro Land 2, after having brought at least 4 tokens to the locked gate at the end of the game. This can be difficult, so an easy solution is to farm tokens by dying repeatedly on a stage that has a token available, and collecting it every time you respawn. You’ll lose coins for doing so, but you can collect as many tokens as you need. Don’t tell the dev though, this makes it a lot easier and he might decide to patch it out. 😉
Random Test Blob
Defeat the secret enemy, RTB (the Random Test Blob).
The RTB can be found in the graveyard world of Pedro Land 2, in the sparkly pit. Simply hop in (or miss your jump) and you’ll find RTB hanging out in his own little secret chamber. Pop a cap in him I guess, and take your achievement!
Hola,!
You said hello to El ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Sombrero, yay!
EGS can be found in the harbor village NPC stage of Pedro Land 2, just after the graveyard world boss. He’s pretty easy to spot, so just talk to him for a second and the achievement should pop. If you miss him here, you can also find him in one of the NPC stages of Pedro Land 3, but I found him here and I think this is probably the easiest place to find him, as you’ll probably be through here a few times trying to collect all PL2 achievements.
Evil Lair
Find the secret lair in Amigo Port.
The Evil Lair can be accessed from the Amigo Port stage of Pedro Land 2, through a secret warp. Interact with the sparkly space between the second and third large houses in the stage. This will take you to an alley with a museum you can enter, which holds statues of Pedro’s bloodline. At the end of the museum there’s a sparkly space at the base of the wall which you can walk through to visit the Evil Lair. Doing so should pop the achievement.
Chapter 4: The Road Less Traveled? – Pedro Land DX Achievements Guide
Pedro Land 3 is the fourth chapter of PLDX, and has 2 unique achievements. PL3 is unique in that it’s got an alternate route for practically every world, so if one path is proving too tough, you can always try another. Other than that though, there’s no funny business with bonus tokens. Just good old fashioned platforming!
War Winner
Defeat the Eastern Army and clear Pedro Land 3!
War Winner is obtained by beating Pedro Land 3, the penultimate chapter of PLDX. While it’s one of the longer chapters of the game, it’s not unfairly difficult, at least in my opinion. There’s a little strategy involved in picking the right path for you, but aside from that it’s a straight shot to the end. Story achievement, cannot miss.
Bane of Darkness
Find the chamber of the Holy Gun.
The Chamber of the Holy Gun can be found in the Dusty Caves world of Pedro Land 3, through a sparkly space near a waterfall. Interacting with the space will bring you to the Chamber of the Holy Gun, which should pop the achievement. As far as I’m aware there’s no way to obtain the Holy Gun unfortunately, but the achievement is still nice.
Chapter 5: Something Wicked That Way Goes
Wicked Tower is the fifth and final chapter of PLDX, and contains 4 unique achievements. Wicked Tower is also a pure boss rush, featuring bosses from all previous chapters, and some achievements with it to boot. It’s hard, it’s mean, it’s stressful, but if you want those last achievements, you gotta get through it. One last tough push to the end, get ready, let’s go!
Desert Brawler
Beat the Pedro Land Boss Rush!
Simply survive the first boss rush of Wicked Tower, which is much easier said than done. This world is brutal, so don’t be afraid to cheese the bosses if you can for a bit of breathing room. Story Achievement, cannot be missed.
Desert Fighter
Beat the Pedro Land 2 Boss Rush!
Same story as Desert Brawler. Just keep spamming your revolver and keeping your distance as much as possible. I found the PL2 rush easier than the first, but everybody’s different. Not much else to say on the matter.
Desert Champion
Beat the Pedro Land 3 Boss Rush!
Stick to your guns, this is the last boss rush so you’re more than halfway there. If you beat the first two rushes the third should just be more of the same. Stay away from the bosses, juke them out when you can, and if one loses aggro on you, press your advantage and take ‘em out. Wicked Tower doesn’t pull its punches, neither should you. This and the final boss are all that you should be missing now from 100% completion, don’t lose steam now!
Destroyer of Wickedness
Unmask Mr. Wicked and clear Wicked Tower!
And finally, Destroyer of Wickedness is obtained by beating Wicked Tower, the final chapter of PLDX. One final showdown, and that’s Wicked Tower defeated. After the brutal fight to the top, Mr. Wicked isn’t too tough, but honestly that’s a welcome reprieve from the boss rushes it took to get here. Story achievement, cannot miss.
Pedro Land DX Achievements Epilogue: Closing Thoughts
And that’s all the Pedro Land DX achievements covered! I’ll try my best to update the guide if any new achievements are added, but as it stands, we’ve reached 100% completion. Special thanks to Jared, the actual developer, for giving me some pointers on the achievements I was missing and letting me use that awesome gif for the thumbnail. I appreciate the help!
If this guide helped you at all or if you even just enjoyed reading it, please consider leaving a positive rating or a comment! Any feedback is appreciated, as always. And with that done, thanks for visiting, and good luck on your future achievement hunts!
