How to Unlock Chicharron
Chicharron is unlocked after completing the “Meet the Legends” Mission in El Este. Once you’ve done that, you must complete a series of three Side Quests where you help Chicharron deliver sweet justice to the FDA along Vacia Coast.

Everything you Need to Know About Chicharron
Here’s what you need to know about Chicharron:
- Chicharron is a Combat Amigo, meaning he’ll sprint towards enemies and slash them with his razor-sharp talons.
- Like Guapo, Chicharron’s highly aggressive nature makes him unfit for stealthy approaches. Either tell him to wait at a specific spot by pressing Right on the D-Pad, or dismiss him temporarily from the Amigo section of the Pause Menu.
- His big move is to practically slingshot himself at enemies, catching them off-guard and opening them up to attacks.
Chicharron can be upgraded with three Abilities after reaching certain milestones:
- Roid Rage – When below 70% health, Chicharron attacks faster and deals double damage. Unlocked after killing 12 enemies.
- Angrier Bird – Chicharron’s charge move now knocks enemies down to the ground.
- Chicken Feet – When below 70% health, Chicharron is more likely to dodge enemy attacks.
