How to Play Chex Quest
1. Download and extract one of the DOOM source ports listed somewhere on your hard drive.
2. Download and extract chex3.wad from the Chex Quest 3 zip file
3. Run gzdoom.exe and enjoy! There’s plenty of graphics, rendering and control options to fit your preferences as well.
How to Play Brutal Chex Quest
Please note that Brutal Doom was not built with Chex Quest in mind. While it is supported, ammo will be scarce unless you use cheats and there may be things such as graphical issues or other overlooked issues.
1. Download and extract brutalv21.pk3 from the Brutal Doom download into your source port directory.
2. Download and extract cheques.pk3 from the Chex Quest patch download into your source port directory.
3. In your GZDoom directory, hold down the control key and select brutalv21.pk3 and cheques.pk3 IN THAT ORDER. and drag them over gzdoom.exe
4. Enjoy Brutal Chex Quest!
