In this guide, I explained how to get 25-30 thousand guaranteed microplastics in the game.
Early Game Microplastic Farm
Requremients:
So! I found a REALLY simple, relatively early game Microplastic farm that can easily net 25-30k each run, with a run taking 5-7 mins.
To start off, there ARE a few requirements.
1). Access to the “Sands Between”
2). Sand Dollar (unlimited amount can be bought from the Lower Crust Stowaway store).
3). Ebb & Flow (Final Skill of the bottom Left skill tree branch)
4). At least 26 Attack.
Optional: Fruit Sticker – Can be bought from the Stowaway store. Increases microplastics by about 15%. A second can be obtained from killing a secret boss.
Optional: Defeat Pagurus – Makes this method a lot less risky or a bit quicker, depending on your route.
Getting There
Once you have the requirements, head to the ‘Central Vista’ in the Sands Between. From here, you’re headed West-South-West.
I’m not sure if the area you’re looking for has an official name, but I’ve been calling it the Bobbit Forest. Why? because its absolutely PACKED with Bobbit Woms. Ambush worms that can kill you in 1 hit if you’re not quick enough.
You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see a bunch of towering Aloe looking spikes.
But its these very screaming demons we’re after.
Why?
Because each one gives 750 Microplastics each, and there’s roughly 30 of them scattered around this relatively small area.
Doing the Deed
Now, as the Bobbit Forest, from a gameplay stanadpoint, is supposed to be an annoying, trap-filled nightmare filled with jump scares, but with a bit of preparation, it can become a SUPER easy and pretty quick early game farm.
What do you need? Not much, honestly.
First, you need Ebb & Flow, the final skill of the dodge branch in the skill tree. If you need to, you can buy a Shark Egg from the Prawn Shop and Respec, though honestly Ebb & Flow is so good, you should probably have it anyway.
Secondly, you need an attack of at least 26.
Why 26? Because at that’s the point at which you can one-shot Bobbit Worms with Ebb & Flow.
Do you see where this is going?
Lastly, you need a Sand Dollar for every run. Why? Because There’s no Moon Snail Shell near the forest, so its FAR quicker and more effective to die and respawn.
Once you’re in the Bobbit forest, you’re looking for the large Xs in the sand. This marks the Bobbit worms. NOTE: There ARE several hidden worms not marked by an X. You can seem them by streams of bubbles escaping from the sand.
From there, all you have to do is approach the worm, dodge and activate Ebb & Flow, which should kill the worm in one hit. There are a few worms with awkward positioning that can make some of the skill hits miss (or just not activate) but only 2-3 of them.
With some practice and memorization of the worm locations, you can EASILY kill all 30 worms in 5 mins, with a +1min to walk to the forsest, it results in about 25k Microplastics a run. Up to 30k If you’ve got some Fruit Stickers.
