General Guide
The purpose of this guide is to provide you with information about Epstein that you may not know or struggle to understand, beyond the basics of survival gameplay.
What is the Purpose of this Island?
The island of Epstein is inhabited by corrupt and bloodsucking creatures. There are mini-bosses who control these creatures, and you will see the area where they are located and who they are in the guide as you progress. The main power ruling this island is a madman named jefry. He continues to empower the bloodsucking creatures with his other boss friends on the island.
What are the First Things that Need to be done?
In each player’s inventory, there is a stone to gather resources (wood, ore). Use this stone to gather wood and ore. Then, press the [TAB] key to open the panel where you’ll manage almost everything about your character. On the right side of this panel, you’ll see items you can craft and what they require. In the middle section, you’ll find your inventory. The left panel displays your character’s statistics and a section for customization. Use this panel to craft your first axe and pickaxe before entering the island.
Notes and Tasks on theIsland
At the beginning and throughout the island, you’ll find tablet-shaped notes that will provide you with brief information about the progression of the game, but they have no effect.
In-game tasks are very important! If you don’t complete the tasks in order, killing the endgame boss, Jefry, will be of no use. Therefore, you need to carefully complete the tasks. You can access the panel with tasks by pressing the [J] key or by seeing a small text on the right side of the screen.
Build and Develop your Own Base!
After gathering enough resources, you need to start building your first house by creating a building plan from the right panel with the [TAB] key. Use this blueprint to design your house as you wish.
Besides this blueprint, to be able to craft useful items for your house such as (Oven, Fridge, Chest, Mill), place a workbench in your base. Inside this workbench, you’ll see many things you can craft on the right panel. Now you’re ready to start developing your base and character.
Gift Boxes on the Island!
Gift boxes are found in certain corners of the island, coming in two different colors. You can break them to loot items from inside. They’re there for you. While red gift boxes provide ordinary items, green ones may offer rare items!
Loot Zones on the Island!
There are areas filled with dangers that you can encounter while exploring. You need to be cautious and have your sword at hand when entering these areas. Cage areas unlocked by puzzles and obstacle courses require careful navigation; otherwise, you may die from burning and lose your items. Therefore, pay attention to the characteristics of each area and decide whether to take your items with you or not.
Where are the Keys to Locked Chests?
To unlock this type of chest, you need to kill a creature found on the island named Blue Andrew. Andrew is mostly seen in the watery areas of the island, and it drops the key required to open the chest. However, there’s a chance that this key may not open the chest. Not every key will guarantee unlocking the chest 100% of the time !
How is Magic Performed?
To use your character’s magic ability, you need to allocate some points to the intelligence attribute. If you have enough experience points, you can access your character’s spells by pressing the [TAB] key and navigating to the magic section on the left panel.
As you level up each spell, you can unlock various magical abilities including:
- Casting fireballs
- Summoning food and water from the sky
- Raining meteors
And many other magical abilities.
